ELVIS TRAN
RISING STAR SHOWCASE PRESENTER
Elvis is a Vietnamese Australian aspiring actor and creator based in Melbourne. He is passionate about the world of film and the intricacies of the craft that is storytelling. Initially pursuing a career in medicine, Elvis has pivoted and opened up his world to more creativity, pursuing acting ever since he auditioned for a global open casting call for the drama series adaptation of Viet Thanh Nguyen’s ‘The Sympathizer’ for HBO and A24.
He has since acted in student short films, and featured as an extra in feature films such as Shayda (2023), Disconnected (2023), and Sleeping Dogs (2024). His achievements include being profiled by the Vietnamese Community of Australia in a documentary, and winning a Korean Short Film Competition at Monash University. Elvis has also dabbled in scriptwriting and voice acting, and is constantly seeking to learn and develop his skills as a storyteller with vigour and an open mind.

LILY JOHNSON
BEST SHORTS SHOW PRESENTER
Lily Johnson is a Melbourne based artist. Her favourite pass-times include remaining caffeinated at all times, yoga, binge watching any drama series and accidentally screaming during any slightly scary movie. As an artist Lily works predominantly as an Actor. Her training includes an Advanced Diploma in Acting from The NationalTheatre Drama school and has also studied at 16th street, NIDA, Bayside Actors Studio, PB Actor Coaching. Lily’s acting credits include Mark Antony (Julius Caesar) , Clytemnestra (Iphigenia in Aulis) , Pearl (Summer of 17th Doll) ,Billy (Shit) Sally Banner (Chapel Perilous).

Her recent work includes Actor 1 (Holding the Man) at Chapel of Chapel with Taylor Made Productions. She is very much looking forward to hosting CINEVERSE events this year and can’t wait to meet all the epic talent coming through.

JONATHAN ZSOFI
QUEER AF & BEST IN SHOW PRESENTER
Influenced by ancient culture and all films fantastical, Jonathan Zsofi is a NZ based jewish film director that collaborates with international filmmakers daily. After his breakout film ‘Hadir and The Deep’ Jonathan began leading The Ziggurat team who’s films speak of a joie de vivre amidst dark and historical epochs such as ‘Te Makutu, The Curse’ and ‘Blood of Jerusalem’.
His career has seen him screen his historical & fantasy films in every continent except Antarctica, racking up 100’s of awards. Along side developing multiple features Jonathan continues to support grass roots filmmakers in multiple countries and aims to give a voice and elevate to POC, Queer and Māori voices.
