James is a director, writer, and editor passionate about exploring human behaviour through film. He aims to create meaningful connections with audiences through his storytelling, dedicated to bringing thought-provoking stories to life on screen.
James is a proud member of the Directors and Editors Guild of Aotearoa, New Zealand, and his educational background includes a Double Major in Screen Production, Film Media, and Television from the University of Auckland. His dedication to the art of filmmaking and his ability to connect with viewers through his work make him a promising talent in the world of cinema.
Over the past few years, James has established himself as a talented filmmaker. He has collaborated with the Zine Film Collective on three award-winning short films: "STREET GAMES" (2017), "MR. INDIA" (2019), and "INFLUENCER" (2020). These projects have showcased his creative vision and storytelling abilities.

Drew MacPowell
BEST IN SHOW SHOWRUNNER
Drew MacPowell is from Atlanta, GA even though the only southern thing about him is his hospitality. While starting his career off through non-profit work, he understudied with well-established professionals in the industry. Living most of his adult life overseas, working alongside other international filmmakers he has recently debuted his multi-award-winning film, Terraforma.
